Daniel Smith, Prime Minister at Alberta, is scheduled to receive world leaders when they arrive at Calgary Airport for G7 summit.

It is expected that the leaders will start to land on Sunday for the three -day event Kananiskis The wild southwest of Calgary.

Smith’s office says it is scheduled to host representatives from non -member countries on Monday evening at a reception in Calgary and hold bilateral meetings throughout the summit.

The details of the meetings were not revealed and who will meet Smith.

The Prime Minister has already made international relations a distinctive feature of its management.

Earlier this month, Smith returned to the US capital of meetings and a forum on energy as Trump doubled his tariff on steel and aluminum imports.

Smith said at the time there was a “penetration” in talks with the Americans about Canada’s role in the United States’ pursuit of energy domination.

The seven annual summit (G7) brings together the leaders of the world’s seven economies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the European Union.

Canada assumed the group’s presidency for 2025, and thus hosts the Group 7 summit this year from 15 to 17 June in Alberta Rockz, west of Calgary.
