Many electric cars have pushed from the largest brands – everything from elegant sedans to the huge SUVs – and while many of them arouse on paper, a few have managed to do so in real life. The range is never good. Shipping is not the same speed as expected. This is what made the Porsche Tayekan 4S 2025 express this forefront. I expected speed, grip, and all other tricks for Porsche parties. What I did not expect is to deal with shipping times and shipping more than 0 to 60s and side GS.
Porsche handed me the newly updated TayCan 2025 keys – those that contain modified battery chemistry and improved efficiency. Do not shout in bold letters, but these promotions give you between 40 to 50 miles of range depending on the specifications and driving style. This may not seem revolutionary, but when you already lead the EV performance, you quickly realize that all your anxiety has left behind.
Porsche Tayekan is a performance king, but its extent is what I sold
Let’s get out of the road: Fast Cross Turismo Porsche. It will continue to flourish in the seat with every 598 hp available in release control mode, and the time is from 3.6 seconds to 60 miles per hour impressive for something containing enough space in the back for daily use. The ride is narrow, the steering is sharp, and although it is the real estate version of Taycan, it feels every porch through the corners.
But this is not what caused my admiration more about this performance. Instead, you are in the vaginal of the electrical experience. Domain, charging speeds – as you know, all boring bits.
The car was first picked up from Porsche HQ with about 86 % of the drawings, and read 272 miles of range in Sport Plus. I quickly learned that this was not an optimistic estimate as most of the other EVS. After about five hours of mixed driving – some sporty back roads, some of the highly rooted highways, and a little crawl in the city – I looked down and the car would actually make it the entire trip.
And I did. After turning into a domain driving mode (which is the most effective option), she managed to drive 286 miles with about 16 % of the charging. It was a very complete trunk, A/C was turned on, and the ice hyperactivity was rushed.
Cherry on top? shipping. TayCan 2025 supports up to 320 kWh, and I got a test of this at 250 kW station. He went from 10 % to 80 % in less than 20 minutes. This is not a manufactured appreciation, this is what I saw. Almost a full charge while it took it to get some breakfast in Starbucks and visit the bathroom. Even in low -energy stations, you never felt slowing.
Now, there is a large -range competitor: Air Lucid. Nearly 500 miles can go on a full charge. He is the EV group, no doubt. It also supports very fast charging and makes this promise. But while the apparent air is linked to luxurious soothing – smooth, crawling and wonderfully comfortable – it does not make your heart.
Meanwhile, Taycan does not do so. It is the performance of EV first and foremost, which is also happening in the nails and charging range. This is the difference. The Lucid range may be longer, but the Taycan range is still exceptional – and is delivered in a truly driving package.
Inside, Taycan 4s Turismo is all you expect from Porsche: flawless construction quality, sharp design, and sufficient screens to feel a reception. However, not everything is perfect. I despise the control of the touch climate, and I have chosen Porsche to include these physical buttons that you will find in other EVS, including Macan. Virtual venting on the screen instead of twisting a handle appears to be a reduction in use, not progress.
But I will forgive this because the rest of the cabin is amazing. Perhaps the Provence coating was not its color on paper, but personally? He completely sings. It is a light purple, purple purple that makes the car feel sophisticated and a little bit. Poison this with 21 -inch wheels and additional Cross Turismo, and you have one of the best electric cars.
Practical application is also present in leaps and limits. Back passengers get more space than in the salon release, and the back fits 446 liters of goods – or more if you fold the seats down. There are even an additional 84 liters under the front hood. This is not everything. I used that space on the long road.
It should also be noted that the best features – adaptive air suspension, the Sport Chrono package, the panoramic ceiling, and the Bose ocean system – are equipped for the two test cars, but it is not standard.
The TayCAN base begins about $ 100,000, but the 4s Turismo that you see comes here about $ 130,000. Once you have put some delicious Porsche options boxes? You are easily hovering in a neighborhood of $ 150,000.
This is very slope, certainly, but for the right buyer – someone wants a suitable performance car coincides with electricity – it may be worth every penny. You will never have to think twice if the car can make it longer.
