Pope Liu XIV The Vatican said on Tuesday that the new US Ambassador for the Holy See, Brian Porsche, was praying for conservative activist Charlie Kerk, as well as his wife and children, after his death last week in Utah.
Vatican spokesman Matteo Brunei said in a statement that Liu also expressed his concern about political violence and went to the need to “refrain from discourse and exploitation that leads to polarization rather than dialogue.”
The Pope’s comments came on Saturday, when he got the ambassador in an audience to receive his credentials, on the occasion of the first meeting between the two.

Brunei said: “The Pope confirmed that he was praying for Charlie Kerk.”
Kirk, co -founder of the 31 -year -old Turning Point USA Firing During an event on the campus of the University of Utah Valley in Orim on September 10. He was transferred to the hospital in critical condition before clarifying his death later.
The alleged gunman was identified as Tyler Robinson, 22, his family persuaded him to surrender after chasing two days. Robinson was accused of strict killing regarding Kirk’s killing.

Porsche hosted a welcome diplomatic reception on Monday, saying it was “a great time to be in Rome” with the first American Pope.
The ambassador talked about his papal fans, pointing to the ambassadors of the two assemblies, the Cardinals and the guests that the ink “reminded me that it is not the American Pope. It is the Pope of America to the world.”
