Two out of five Supreme Court judges in charge of deciding the fate of the former Brazilian President, Gere Bolsonaro, found that the former leader is guilty of planning a coup.

But Bolsonaro will not be condemned unless he finds it at least another justice. The former president denied all the charges against him.

The first justice of his voting, Alexander de Morris, said that there was “no doubt” that there was a coup attempt after Bolsonaro lost the 2022 presidential election for his leftist opponent, Luiz Inola Lula da Silva.

The second justice, Flofio Dino, also found that Bolsonaro is guilty of all the five charges against him. The trial will continue on Wednesday.

When the session begins at 09:00 local (12: 00GMT), all attention will be on Judge Louise Fox, whose role will be to cast his votes.

If Bolsonaro is also found guilty of all charges, the simple majority needed to condemn the former president will be accessed.

If convicted, Bolsonaro – which rules Brazil from January 2019 to December 2022 – may face a long sentence of prison for more than 40 years.

Until now, the statements of the judges who made their votes were cursing the former president.

Judge Morris said that Bolsonaro led the “criminal organization” that he claimed was behind the coup attempt.

Polsonaro’s lawyer, Celsu Villardi, said he does not agree with the opinions of the judges, but he confirmed that he “will always respect the decision of the Supreme Court.”

The former president and his seven accused in the trial – some of them are senior military officers – are accused of trying to prevent the elected president without assuming his post.

The seven defendants also denied the charges.

Speaking in the court on Tuesday, Judge Morris said that there is a lot of evidence of a conspiracy to kill Lula, his vice president in running, and justice Mores himself.

Moraaes showed a document that explains in detail the plan, and the name of the green and yellow dagger, with highlights of the main sections.

“This was written at the headquarters of the Brazilian government, and at the same time, President Geer Bolsonaro was there,” he said. He added that part of the plan was printed in the presidential palace.

According to the investigators, the defendants failed to recruit adequate support from the army to move forward.

But Morris argued that the efforts of the defendants crowned the storming of Congress, the Supreme Court and the Presidential Palace by thousands of Bolsonaro supporters on January 8, 2023 – one week after the right -wing.

The system was quickly restored and more than 1500 people were arrested.

However, according to Mauric, Brazil is close to descending into tyranny: “We are slowly forgetting that Brazil almost returned to its 20 -year dictatorship because a criminal organization, consisting of a political group, does not know how to lose the elections.”

“There is no doubt that the defendant, Gear Bolsonaro, held meetings with the leaders of the armed forces to discuss violating constitutional standards,” Morais said.

The former president of the court was not when the Judges Mores and Dino announced their comet votes.

Polsonaro’s lawyers said their client suffers from health problems. The 70 -year -old stabbed the stomach while he was on the campaign path in 2018 and was suffering from frequent health problems resulting from the accident since then.

His lawyers said he followed the procedures from his home in Brazilia, where he was kept under house arrest.

Since it is currently forbidden to use social media, we have not heard from it during the stage of judgment in this trial, but he said in the past that the trial was of political motives.

The former president claims that he is designed to prevent him from standing in the 2026 presidential elections.

However, it was already banned from running for public positions until 2030 to publish baseless rumors from the Brazil vote system.
