The Polish Prime Minister said that at least three drones were shot down by Polish planes and other NATO aircraft in Poland’s airspace during night attacks on Ukraine.
Donald Tusk said that Poland has recorded 19 drones, with some flying deeply enough to temporarily close airports, including the main Warsaw axis.
“This situation brings us the closest to us to open the conflict since World War II,” he said. This is the first time that Russian drones have been shot down on NATO since Moscow has widely invaded Ukraine in 2022.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that there are “any plans” to target the facilities on the Polish soil.
The ministry said in a statement, “The maximum range of Russian drones, which it has been alleged to crossed to Poland does not exceed 700 km (435 miles),” adding that he is “ready” to conduct consultations with the Polish Ministry of Defense.
Russia’s temporary charge in Poland said that Warsaw had not provided evidence that drones are of Russian origin.
Belarus, a close Russian ally, claimed that the drones had accidentally entered the Polish air space after their navigation systems were disturbed.
Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski warned that the recent attack was “a very dangerous precedent for Europe”, while Foreign Minister Andre Cipha said it shows that Russian President Vladimir Putin “is still escalating and expanding the war.
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump wrote on the social media platform on Wednesday.

In his speech to Polish legislators on Wednesday, Tusk said that three – or perhaps four drones were shot over overnight.
He said that the Polish authorities do not have information indicating that anyone or died “as a result of Russian work.”
“The fact that these drones, which pose a security threat, have dropped the change of the political situation.
“I have no reason to claim that we are on the brink of war, but a line has been crossed, and it is an incomparable more dangerous than before.”
“The authorities found 15 drones. Most of them were located in the eastern Lublin region, on the border with Belarus and Ukraine. She added that five had discovered in central Central, Western and South Poland, far beyond the border.

Task also said that he asked to summon Article 4 of the NATO treaty, which officially begins urgent consultations within the 32 -member alliance.
Poland is a member state of NATO – which connects the United States and many European countries together to collective defense.
Tusk and Nawrocki said they were “regularly” with NATO Secretary -General Mark Root, who praised a “very successful reaction” by the coalition.

The Polish Ministry of Defense told the BBC that drones, “which could have been a threat, had been proactive.”
“Polish and NATO aircraft, including the F-35, F-16, Mi-24, Mi-17, and Black Hawk, were sent to the intended operating area.
The Poland Army also thanked the NATO Air Force and the Netherlands for deploying F-35 combat aircraft.

Russian drones that entered Poland were part of the latest major air attack on Ukraine, as Kiev had informed that more than 400 drones and 42 missiles were fired.
Poland has registered individual air pegs on several occasions since Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine, including one of the killing of two Polish farmers near the Ukrainian border in November 2022.
But the last accident was one of a different size, Justina Gotkovska, a deputy director at the Center for Oriental Studies, which is based in Warsaw, told the BBC – important because of the scale, several armed and unarmed drones. “
She said the drones were a “Russian provocation” designed to test the ability of Poland to respond “in a very extreme political situation” and took advantage of the current sections.
However, “the reaction to the Polish side was united, civil, military and political, coordinating the Polish championship.”
“He is happy to respond to the authorities, but he stressed that small cities like need to do more in order to be able to protect themselves.
“We need to be prepared. All this has now increased on the agenda,” he told BBC.
