Poland PM Donald Tusk accuses the Russia of Warsaw center of shopping

Poland accused Russian intelligence services of coordinating a huge fire that completely destroyed a shopping center in Warsaw last year.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Poland knows “certainly” that the fire at the Mariolaska Shopping Center was caused by the intentional burning that Russian private services requested.

Task added that some officials are already detained, while all others who were alleged were involved and searched for.

Moscow did not comment on allegations, but it previously denied charges of sabotage in Europe.

The fire was destroyed in May 2024 1,400 small companies, with many employees there are members of the Vietnamese community in Warsaw.

Poland conducted a year in the accident, which now concluded that the fire was organized by a person whose name was unveiled in Russia.

A joint statement issued by the ministers of justice and the interior in Poland said that the actions of these detainees “were organized and a certain person resides in the Russian Federation.”

Polish officials said these attacks were part of the “hybrid war” launched by Moscow.

Three months after the fire, the owners of Mariileska opened the temporary shopping center, as it resumed about 400 operations.

An alternative shopping center in Warsaw, Modlinska 6D, was opened in October 2024 with merchants transferring their business to the new site.
