Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for sanctions against terrorists in a session on peace and security at the Brax Summit in Brazil. “Terrorism has become the most dangerous challenge for humanity today,” he said.
“If we see for the first time in any country the attack occurred, and at him, this will be a betrayal against humanity,” he said against the background of China in banning efforts in the United Nations Security Council in recent years to include many terrorists residing in Pakistan.
PM Modi confirmed that the victims and supporters of terrorism cannot “weigh the same size.” He said: “For personal or political profit, it should not be silent approval of terrorism, and support for terrorism or terrorists, acceptable under any circumstances.” Modi stressed that there should be no difference between words and actions related to terrorism.
“If we cannot do this, the question is raised naturally whether we are serious about fighting terrorism or not,” he added.
He also thanked the friendly countries standing with India and supporting them after Pahalgam’s terrorist attack on April 22, which killed 26 civilians. “The development of humanity is only possible in a peaceful and safe environment. Brex has a very important role in achieving this goal,” Modi said. He called for unity and collective efforts to face common challenges and move forward together.
He said: “India is the land of Lord Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi. There is no place for war and violence for us.”
PM Modi has also published a list of measures that Brics can take to be more effective:
- The BRICS countries must emphasize improving internal systems to enhance credibility when calling for reformist pluralism. He said this initiative is vital as the BRICS progress in economic cooperation. He added that BRICS NDB should focus on making demand -based decisions, long -term financial sustainability, and maintaining a healthy credit rating.
- India has launched the BRICS agricultural research platform, which can aim to share best practices in agricultural biotechnology, fine agriculture, and adaptation to climate change. The proposal to establish the science and research depot in the BRICS aims to benefit from the global southern countries through the participation of research and technological progress.
- In addition to agriculture, flexible supply chains must be flexible and must make sure that they do not monopolize resources from their single country for their own interests or as a weapon.
- The BRICS countries should focus on developing responsible artificial intelligence.
- He said that the Brexes should follow the “leadership leadership” approach.
