Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-1 at home by relegation-ruling Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, worsening the crisis engulfing the north London club.

In this battle between two teams that have not yet achieved victory in the English Premier League in 2025, Tottenham Take the lead. The returning Richarlison took advantage of a pair of Leicester centre-backs to head the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute.

This was the 18th time in 23 matches that the Foxes had conceded an opening goal Premier League game. However, it took Jamie Vardy less than a minute in the second half to equalize for the visitors, capitalizing on strong defending that was evident throughout Sunday’s game.

Bilal Al-Khanous completed LeicesterThe team achieved a strong uprising with a second goal just five minutes after the start of the second half. Tottenham’s centre-backs charged forward unchallenged, following up, and had vague interest at best, as the Morocco international slotted the ball home for the hosts in front.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium had become an increasingly hostile place – although that hostility was aimed at the players in white rather than the visitors, whose backline had never been overly tested.
