The largest — the Palisades Fire — has burned more than 2,900 acres since it started Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Eaton and Hurst fires, which also started Tuesday, have affected more than 2,200 and 500 acres, respectively, the CalFire website showed.

The fourth Los Angeles County fire — the Woodley Fire — started on Wednesday.
In nearby Riverside County, firefighters were able to extinguish another blaze called the Tyler Fire, which was about 50% contained, according to CalFire.

Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Katherine Barger described it forest fires as a “dynamic situation” during a press conference on Wednesday.

“Listen to the advice of first responders,” she said. “When they tell you to evacuate, you evacuate. This is not a maneuver, it is happening in real time.”
Tens of thousands of people have been instructed to evacuate due to the fires, Fox News Digital reported.

Many homes and other buildings have been trapped in the ongoing fires.
Universal Studios Hollywood closes due to wildfires in California
California Governor Gavin Newsom FEMA will award the state an Assistant Fire Management Grant “to help ensure critical resources are available” to fight the Hearst Fire, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) said Wednesday.
Such grants have also been authorized for the Palisades and Eaton fires.
