FOX Business host Larry Kudlow reacts to the confirmation hearings for Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense on “Kudlow.”
Pete Hegseth starred today in his more than 4-hour hearing to become Secretary of Defense. He spoke directly from the summit about his mission to bring the warrior spirit back to the Pentagon, rebuild the military, and reestablish deterrence on the global stage.
Pete Hegseth: “When President Trump chose me for this position, his primary charge was to bring a warrior culture back to the Department of Defense. He, like me, The Pentagon wants Laser focused on lethality, merit, combat responsibility and readiness. // He believes, and I humbly agree, that it is time to give leadership to someone with dust on his boots – an agent of change.

Rather than another bureaucrat, or even a high-ranking general, or someone Military industrial In the boardroom, Mr Hegseth will be the Soldier’s Defense Minister – focusing on his ‘dust on boots’ experience on the battlefield. I listen:
Pete Hegseth: “I’ve led troops in combat. I’ve been on patrol for days. I’ve pulled down triggers, heard bullets whizzing, insurgents bent and bound, called in close air support, led a medical evacuation, dodged IEDs, and then retreated. Bodies and kneels in front of Battlefield Cross, this is not academic to me.

The standards will be high at the Hegseth Pentagon, but Wake and DEI will be very low.
Sen. Kevin Cramer, R.N.D., and Rep. Derek Van Orden, R-Wis., react to Trump’s nominee confirmation hearing on Kudlow.
Hegseth, a veteran who served in combat zones in Afghanistan and Iraq, has repeatedly said he wants warriors, preparedness and lethality above all else. Here’s another clip from today:
Pete Hegseth: “We won World War II with seven four-star generals. Today we have 44 four-star generals. There is an inverse relationship between the size of the staff and Victory on the battlefield. We don’t need more bureaucracy at the top. “We need to empower more fighters at the bottom.”
There will be financial audits to reduce waste, but there will also be targeted increases in spending in places like naval ships, nuclear deterrence, and elsewhere.
For more than four hours, all Democrats could do was attack him personally — citing anonymous slurs that were never proven.
Kudlow Committee members Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., and Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Fla., discuss Hegseth’s confirmation hearing.
Democrats were incredibly partisan. No one showed any support at all for Hegseth. None of the Democrats acknowledged Biden’s failures in Afghanistan, Russia and Ukraine, appeasing Iran, weak support for Israel, or Stand up to China.
One theme of the November election was the importance of change – in the economy, illegal immigration, and foreign policy, with the world now suddenly on fire under Joe Biden.

Hegseth will be an unconventional change agent at the Pentagon. Disabled, even. This is what the country wants. He is also a man of faith who, like all of us, has made mistakes in the past. But, like all of us sinners, he is working to change himself. I listen:
Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., reacts to the Senate confirmation hearing for Trump’s defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, on “The Evening Edit.”
Pete Hegseth: “I’m not a perfect person, it’s been acknowledged. I was saved by God’s grace through Jesus and Jenny. I’m not a perfect person, but redemption is real, and God created me in ways I know.” I’m ready to.”
i like it, Just love it. And my saintly wife knows a thing or two about this herself. This is scum.
