Perseval Evert, Branden Jacobs Jenkins won the Politzer Awards

The novelist Perseval Evert won the Politzer Award for imagination in favor of “James”, a re -imagination of Haklbiri Finn from the perspective of a slave man, while theatrical writer Branden Jacobs Jenkins won the Drama Award for “The purpose”, a play for a successful black family in a crisis. Among the other winners were Jason Roberts for the CV, Mary Howe for poetry, and Sousses Ebra for music.
