Five years ago this week, history was made in the southern grass of the White House when Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed Ibrahim agreements. What many have rejected for a long time as an impossible dream has become an undeniable fact: the Arab countries that publicly adopt peace with Israel are not as a secondary product of endless negotiations, but as a result of the American leadership.

I had the honor of great work alongside the president Donald Trump To make that day possible. Ibrahim’s agreements were not coincidental from the wishfulred diplomacy or naive delusions.

They have been born from a policy that is deeply rooted in reality: this force is the corruption of peace, and that America must stand in a way that is not exposed to Israel, and that the Arab Israel neighbors, with the right encouragement, may find a common issue with the Jewish state.

After five years, its effect is unambiguous. The agreements have maintained peace between the signed countries, which now include Morocco and Sudan, even during some of the darkest days in Modern history of Israel.

Trump’s historical deal is the real key to peace in the Middle East

When Hamas launched the barbaric terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023, Israel drowned in an open war against Hamas -controlled Gaza, many feared that young partnerships collapsed. Instead, the ambassadors in Israel remained, as governments maintained relations and trade continued. In an area often the alliances are transient, this flexibility is the same historical.

Peace was fruitful. Trade between Israel and its new partners increased in billions.

Joint commercial projects not only create job opportunities, but also to imitate societies together in a few ways to imagine. Direct trips now connect Tel Aviv with Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Manama.

Israeli tourists are now a holiday in the land, as the Jews were forced to flee only decades ago. These human bonds make the future conflict less likely and durable. History reminds us of that Nations that flourish together It rarely goes to war together.

With friends like those who pay to dismantle the peace deal in the Middle East in Trump, who needs enemies?

These accomplishments are more prominent given that the Biden-Eharris administration has almost nothing to expand the circle of peace in the agreements. In fact, the previous administration gave priority concessions to the malicious actors. The result is peace that you carry but also stagnant, with an unexploited possibility to reshape the Middle East forever.

Now, America has another opportunity to restore momentum for the peace that President Trump created in his first term, and the administration must expand the higher priority agreement for foreign policy. The United States must reaffirm our iron commitment to Israel’s security and promised that any country seeking to partnership with Israel will find America as a partner as well. particularly, Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaEntering the agreements will be a giant step forward.

The normalization of Riyadh’s relations with Jerusalem would end the long isolation of the Jewish state in the Arab world, which leads to a new era of security, cooperation and economic growth that blesses the region for future generations.

Ibrahim’s agreements have already written a new chapter in the story of the Middle East. They have proven that true peace does not come from TerrorismBut from the unification of those who have the courage to oppose it.

While we celebrate the fifth anniversary, America should not only maintain what has been achieved, but also they will have a circle of peace in order to include all those who yearn for a future based on hope instead of hatred.

The dream of the Middle East determined by peace and prosperity is closer to what it was at any time in living memory. With a strong leadership of the Trump administration, it can become a permanent reality.
