After August 4, creators who create a paid -paid organic page will have to pay 10 percent fees on their profits under the new standard plan. While Patreon currently provides PRO and Premium plans, which carry 8 percent fees and 12 percent of creators income, respectively, the two are combined into one option that moves forward. The price increase only applies to creators who publish a new page; Patriion says it will continue to honor the minimum support rate for anyone closed by August 4.
Once the change is in place, things will become a little cheaper for creators who were working under the Premium Plan (12 percent). Instead of continuing to pay 12 percent, excellent creators will be converted into a dedicated “Pro + Merch” plan that will come with 11 percent fees. If they remove the Merch option, the fees will decrease to 8 percent.
Patreon also says it increases the free storage you will provide to creators using Patreon’s video. Although she previously said that she would provide a storage for up to 100 hours of the video through the life of the account and the charge of anything that goes beyond that, Patreon now says that she will start providing 100 hours of video per month for free later this summer. This step comes shortly after the disturbance of the platform New tools including the meteoring feature of the direct broadcastDirect video. Patreon started direct video tests between the creators chosen this spring, with plans to start summer.
