Arsenal says that Arsenal is ready to do something exceptional and start their history by overcoming Paris Saint -Germain and reaching the Champions League final.

Arsenal is heading to the second leg of the semi -finals against the French champions who followed one goal in the wake of Osman Dembele’s early strike in the Emirates a week ago.

Gunners occupied the second best in a big match, but Arteta insists that Arsenal is more than able to challenge the possibilities of winning in Paris and reserve their place in the final of this month in Munich.

“To win the Champions League final, you have to do something exceptional throughout the tournament. We have done a lot of great things, but tomorrow in Paris against this team is the moment to do this,” he said.

“We want to raise the level of this team and start making history. This is the opportunity we face in front of us to do so.

“We are one winning away from the final match. We cannot think of anything else. Let’s not talk, let’s do it tomorrow at this stadium at 9 pm (CET) when the game begins, show our best, better, better, and win the game.

“Many of the things we did in the first game (we must do it) better and more consistently. If we do so, the probability of success will be very close to us.

“We are more than one capable. We did it in Europe against many difficulties. Maybe anyone says we will be in this position.

“It was also against history. So, let’s make our history.

“We are in the semi -finals in the most beautiful cities in the world against a great opponent. It is not much better. We are here to make history. We have a great opportunity tomorrow.

“We come as a result of giving us a lot of clarity about what we have to do. A lot of learning from the first station and also over the small margins between the two teams.

“In my opinion, it should have been very different. So, tomorrow it is another chance to prove this and gain the right to be in the final.

ARTETA added: “I think it is inside us. I think we do not need anything else, as you know.

“Now we need to use it to direct that energy, that emotion, that desire that we all have within ourselves to deliver and perform the best possible level, at the highest level of each of us tomorrow, to provide the result we need to reach the final.”

Rice: No one can stop Arsenal at its best

Arsenal midfielder Diklan Rice:

“If we are the best version of ourselves – and we know that we can be it – there is no suspension in entering this final.

“You cannot enter a semi -finals in Paris and you do not have this belief and courage.

“If we want to win things, we must take these huge steps. Tomorrow’s night is a huge step, and we are really driven by the fact that the final is 90 minutes.

“We are here to win the game and make a statement and reach the final. We have risen to large occasions in the past and we are ready to do this again.

“In the second group game, we overcame PSG 2-0 and the same team was unlike Dembele and (Kvicha) Kvaratskhelia and everyone started, so there is no fear. We believe that we belong to this level.”

Neville: Paris Saint -Germain can feel extremely tense

Sky Sports’ Gary Neville:

“Arsenal has a chance. It’s a completely different game, it’s needed to say. But you can go there and cause some shocks.

“I was there several times and I saw Real Madrid win there and I saw Manchester United wins there. PSG feels very tense if the wrong things occurred to them on this stadium.

“If Arsenal managed to accommodate there, keep in the game and lack a goal – then before you know, suddenly, the stadium does not become a balance of smooth B.

“It would be difficult. It was a great performance by PSG in the Emirates, and it was not a great performance by Arsenal on the other night. But Arsenal will be better.

“If they can stay in that game in the last 15 to 20 minutes, they have a chance.”
