Lucas Paqueta from West Ham is weighing, and it weighs legal measures against the Football Association after purifying it from the positions of location.
According to sources close to the 28 -year -old, his legal team “thinks about all options.”
The Brazilian midfielder was originally charged by the FA in May 2024, accused of deliberately collecting the yellow cards with “the improper purpose of influencing the betting market.”
However, an independent committee rejected all four allegations in July 2025.
On Wednesday, the written ruling was issued that explained the results they reached, which raised doubts about the reason that FA chose not to consult independent betting data during the investigation.
Paqueta lawyers are now reviewing the full report and exploring possible responses, which can include the prosecution of FA.
The investigation of Paqueta’s behavior began in August 2023, nine months before official charges. Announcement of the investigation at a time when the proposal was transferred to Manchester City.
The committee shed light on the financial damage caused by the case, noting that both Paquetá and West Ham were “obtained large sums that pass tens of millions of pounds” and added that “both the player and West Ham reserve all their rights in this regard.”
