The two actresses sat down for an interview recently, and the former “Baywatch” star surprised Curtis after saying she was in a jazz band. Anderson shocked Curtis even more after she revealed that not only can she play an instrument, but she can also perform!

Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis recently sat down for an interview with procession To discuss their new film, “The Last Showgirl.”

The two women play best friends in the film about a 57-year-old Las Vegas showgirl (played by Anderson) who comes to terms with the potential end of her career as she grows older. Anderson is also a single mother in the film, and the actresses discuss being mothers and working in entertainment.

“The center of the film is the story of a single mother who makes a choice to pursue her art and the consequences of that child coming back and saying, ‘It hurts me that you chose your art over me,’” Curtis said. “Most working mothers in the world will see this film and empathize with this complex issue.”

Jamie Lee Curtis learns that her co-star can play the saxophone

Anderson shocked Curtis when she revealed that she played saxophone in the jazz band in middle school.

The 66-year-old “Knives Out” star stopped Anderson midway through her story about auditioning for the “The Naked Gun” reboot after casually noting her musical ability. The two actresses were talking about lying to get the role.

“My first audition was Naked Gun.” “It just kind of happened,” Anderson said. “So, I didn’t have to lie, you know? Even though – even though they thought I was lying because I actually – I was in a jazz band and played the saxophone.”

“Okay, stop! Everyone just stop,” Curtis interrupted. “Let’s stop for a moment. And I’ll turn in my chair. Just a little. Wait, please. Now you can start saying that again. Did you play the saxophone?”

“In high school,” Anderson answered.

The “Barb Wire” actress truly amazed Curtis when she noticed that she could not only play the saxophone, but she could also do a jazz style of singing.

“I did all the solos,” Anderson added.

“What the hell is going on?” “Halloween actress,” she shouted.

“So in the movie, in The Naked Gun, I have to sing,” she continued. “I do a solo, so I remember telling him you know what? ‘Me, in middle school, I did all the solos.’ And he was like, ‘No, do it now.’ I was like, ‘Scooby-Doo, Doobie-Doo, Doo-Dat Doo- Dat. “I just started getting distracted, and I got the part!”

Curtis noted in the interview that they filmed “The last showgirl“In just 18 days.

The ‘Blue Steel’ actress also revealed that the film’s cast was mostly women.

“It was a really intense and beautiful coming together of artists and women — mostly women,” Curtis said. “And, you know, we’re playing best friends, so it was immediate in a weird way. The moment we touched, it was like all of my life’s experiences rolled into her. All of her life’s experiences passed into me, and we went, ‘Oh right,’ and then, you know, “I kept moving forward.”

“Yes, and we’re in this together,” Anderson agreed.

Both Anderson and Curtis were nominated for SAG Awards

Anderson plays a single mother and dancer facing the end of her Las Vegas show in “The Last Showgirl.” The film is directed by Gia Coppola.

Curtis plays Anderson’s character’s best friend in the film, and both actresses were nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Anderson was nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Motion Picture. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. Academy Award winner Curtis was nominated for Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture.

“The Last Showgirl” is currently in theaters.
