The affected areas include famous tourist destinations, such as Fairy Meadows, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has issued a warning about ice floods in the northwest with more rain forecasts next week, as the country faces higher than rain in this seasonal wind season and continues to struggle to recover from destroyed floods in 2022.
Anwar Shahzad, a spokesman for the Local Disaster Management Authority, said on Saturday that the heavy rains in the province of Khyber Bakhtongua from the same period last year, which prompts weather consultations and its warnings of floods of ice lake swollen.
The weather alert comes after the authority sent a speech earlier this month, saying, “The continuous high temperatures may accelerate snow, ice melting and subsequent weather events” in weak parts of the region, which confirms the continuous heavy impact of climate change on the country.
The spokesperson, Fayez Allah, Ferck said on Saturday that there is “severe destruction” in some areas and damage to homes, infrastructure, crops and companies.
Search operations were underway to find missing persons on the Babosar Highway, where the floods hit nine villages. He added that the helicopters saved tourists stuck in the famous place, Fairy Meadows.

in Gilgit area in the neighboring PinchThe government said it had distributed hundreds of tents and thousands of food packages and medicine to the affected societies of floods. Three people there died on Tuesday when a cloud caused floods and landslides, which were cut off more than 200 tourists who were subsequently rescued.
Zakir Hussein, Director General of the Disaster Management Authority in Gilgit, in Senstan, said on Tuesday that although warnings help reduce the presence of tourists in these weak areas, they are not always sufficient.
“In general, tourists pay attention to our warning notifications. Those who still choose to come are either those who have not seen the warning or those who have some urgency to visit,” Hussein said to the judges. “At the end of the day, it is a weather prediction, but given the severity of the consequences, people should take it seriously.”
The rain is a routine part of the climate of South Asia, which is necessary to irrigate crops and renew the water supply.
However, its negative impact has lost in recent years due to rapid urban expansion, bad sewage systems, and the most frequent harsh weather events associated with climate change.
The rains in Pakistan over the Mediterranean this seasonal wind season raised fears of the repeated floods of 2022 that flooded a third of the country, killing 1737 people and explaining more than 30 million people. About 260 died across Pakistan so far this season, which passes until mid -September.
Pakistan, with a population of about 250 million people, is one of the most weak countries in the world in climate change, but it is one of the least contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. It is also home to more than 7,000 ice rivers – the largest outside the polar areas of the Earth.
