‘Paid INR 525 for this’: Customer regrets buying ‘puta’ at Virat Kohli’s restaurant, leaves netizens divided

Celebrity restaurants are very popular among foodies and social media users, not only because of the popularity of the owners but also because of the amazing prices.

A social media user recently called out Virat Kohli-owned One8 Commune for selling substandard food at extremely high prices. The user shared a photo of a corn appetizer with a dip of very less quantity and wrote on X: “Paid Rs 525 for this today at One8 Commune (sic).”

The social media post left netizens divided, with some wondering why she was ordering the food item. However, others agreed with the user and said that the starter actually seemed substandard given the price point.

“Order kyun kiya! Menu mein likha hota hai naa,” one user wrote. Another user said: “Officially, you are rich.” “You knew that before you asked, so stop crying,” a third user commented.

“I paid for the ‘community’ created by One8 🙂 ~ people hanging out, music, atmosphere… coming from high rent, above average employee salaries, etc, etc,” one user explained.

“Looks like a sixth torso salad,” one user said. “Fancy puta (sic),” another user stated.

“Bhai ngl doesn’t look very attractive either,” another user commented. Another user wrote: “I didn’t like the place. Firstly, they have a problem with chappals (Birkenstock). Secondly, every dish we had was disappointing. The price did not justify the product.”

However, Sneha was not the only user who shared her plane with One8 Commune. Another user, Sumukh Rao, criticized the restaurant for not letting him in because he was wearing sandals.

He also said that the restaurant did not have an actual menu, while the taste of most of the foods they ordered was on par with what is available in most bars.

“The food is on par with most bars. The hummus was good. The jackfruit tacos were tortillas with jackfruit chips on top. Horrible. The mushroom dimsum was nice, and the pizza was good too. But I’ve eaten much better than that too at the prices Less, and they don’t have vegetarian options either.”
