OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go service has expanded to 18 countries across Asia, according to an announcement yesterday.

OpenAI has expanded its low-cost subscription plan, ChatGPT Go, to 16 more countries across Asia, company president Nick Turley said. Announce Thursday.
“Making ChatGPT affordable was a key request from users,” Turley said in a message mail on social media platform X in August.
Artificial intelligence company Fired ChatGPT Go was released in India and Indonesia earlier this year.
This version provides the cheapest OpenAI plan to users in a total of 18 Asian countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor) And Vietnam.
OpenAI said on its website that the expansion aims to increase access to the company’s latest GPT-5 model.
ChatGPT Go includes all the features found in Free versionas well as expanded access to image creation, file uploading, advanced data analysis and other functions. It also includes higher usage limits than the free plan for basic chat and tools, according to OpenAI.

ChatGPT Go launched in India and Indonesia with monthly fees of 399 rupees (about $4.50) and 75,000 rupees (about $4.53) respectively — a fraction of the price of the company’s other subscription plans. Plan cost may vary in other Asian markets.
OpenAI currently has two more paid ones subjective Plans: ChatGPT Plus, offered at $20 per month, and ChatGPT Pro, offered at $200 per month. The company also offers a business plan for $25 per month.
ChatGPT usage has grown rapidly around the world since its launch in late 2022. According to Data From OpenAI, AI chatbot adoption growth rates in lower-income countries were more than four times those in higher-income countries by May 2025.
OpenAI noted that the budget-friendly plan is gradually becoming available to all users. For those in Cambodia, Laos, and Nepal, ChatGPT Go is already available on web and Android subscriptions, but not yet in the iOS app.
