The United States of Migration and Customs (ICE) shot a man near Chicago on Friday after he claimed that he drove his car in a group of agents.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Security said that Ice was trying to arrest the man, but he resisted and led towards the group. Then an agent was withdrawn by his car.

The agent, who said the administration, was afraid of his life, directed his rifle and opened the fire.

Officials said the driver, Silverf Feljas-Gonzalez, announced his death in the hospital shortly after.

“During the stop of the car, the suspect resisted and tried to drive his car to the arrest team, hit an officer and then dragged him after he fled from the scene,” a statement said.

Officials said the ice agent suffered from “serious injuries” in the accident, but he was in a stable condition in the hospital.

The Ministry of Internal Security said that Mr. Veligas Gonzalez had a history of the reckless leadership and was an undocumented immigrant. They said that the country “is in an unknown history and time.”

A spokesman for the local police department in Franklin Park said they did not participate in the accident.

“This is a developing situation and the Illinois people deserve completely realistic accountability for what happened today to ensure transparency and accountability,” wrote JB Pritzker.

Franklin Park is a suburb that includes about 18,000 people near Ohair Airport, northwest of Chicago. About half of its population of Spanish origin.

Immigration officials intensified enforcement activities in the Chicago region this week based on the orders of the Trump administration.
