(Reuters) -NVIDIA reported a quarter of a quarter of sales growth at 69 % on Wednesday, the maker of artificial intelligence chips warned of more risks arising from its work due to the technological conflict between the United States and China.
NVIDIA has been placed in a separate NVIDIA with US Securities Organizers. The restrictions imposed on the use of open source AI models such as Deep Seek and QWEN may eventually hurt their business, and US bases can finally stop.
While the CEO of Nvidia Jensen Huang praised a phone call with analysts, analysts praised US President Donald Trump’s decision to cancel the export base set by former President Joe Biden, who would have organized the flow of NVIDIA chips around the world, and noticed our quarterly files that no new base was issued in its place, and there may be a “alternative base that might be glorified on our products.”
On the other hand, Huang criticized new export restrictions imposed by the Trump administration in April. CURBS prevents the company from selling the H20 chip made for the Chinese market, which Huang called “a starting point for global success”.
The export limits cost NVIDIA $ 2.5 billion of sales during the first quarter of financial money, and it expects sales sales of another $ 8 billion during the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The company has reported revenues of $ 4.6 billion of H20 sales in China, where customers stored chips before the restrictions were determined, as China represents 12.5 % of the total revenue.
“The question is not whether China will get Amnesty International – it’s the question already. The question is whether one of the largest artificial intelligence markets in the world will work on American platforms,” said Huang.
Huang has also argued that keeping the Chinese open source models such as Deepseek and QWEN, which works on NVIDIA chips, provides us with American companies with a valuable vision about the location of the global artificial intelligence industry.
“The American platforms must remain the preferred platform for Amnesty International Open source,” he said. “This means supporting cooperation with major developers worldwide, including in China.
The Republican and Democratic Senate Jim Banks and Elizabeth Warren sent a message to Huang on Wednesday, which raised national security concerns about NVIDIA’s plans to open a research and development facility in Shanghai.
