In a country where studying abroad is often the emblem of pride, it reveals a young woman’s journey about barriers from which a few – not lack of money, but family control, cultural expectations, and a system that rarely allows individual dreams.

For a 25 -year -old player working in a creative industry for more than five years, the dream was finally on the horizon. Without official qualifications in its field, but it is equipped with strong skills. She got admission to the university second in the world for its industries in London, where it was registered in the master’s program scheduled for September 2025. And even the most impressive thing, she won a 80 % scholarship-an achievement that can demand a few-to reduce the requirements of her loan to $ 15-20.

But the dream has collapsed quickly.

Although she managed the entire application process, from unified operating procedures to interviews and financing, and she never asked her family financial support, her father refused to participate in signing her educational loan, as the person was disclosed in a post on Reddit. It has nothing to do with financial resources or its ability to pay – she got a fixed income and planned a clear payment plan – but simply, “no one in the father’s family will be fine” with her studies abroad.

After weeks of pleading and emotional pressure, she turned to a non -bank financial company (NBFC) finally agreed to submit a loan without being a joint applicant. But the delay in the exchange process cost it the deadline for the university’s deposit. A grant for it, too, was lost.

Although the university was sympathetic, the scholarship was already reset to the next qualified student.

Now, it is about to restore the loan and abandon it – briefly what could have been a transformative professional leap.

This was not the story of financial barriers or academic palaces. It was a regular control story and the overwhelming calm power of “No” – not strangers, but it is expected to support you.

“It was not a matter of money. It was always about control,” she wrote in her post.

She is now following a legal liberalization from her family, in the hope of re -submitting the application next year without the need for a joint applicant. The process is slow, but its intention is still not similar.
