“No handshake, your true colors appear”- a nice Rashid cursing the post-Pakistani insult

Rashid Latif shared the Wikiti goalkeeper Rashid his ideas about India’s clear refusal with Pakistan players after the 2025 Asian Cup match. Latif stated that men in blue are one of the best teams in the world, but skipping with the opposition players reflects the weak sportsmanship.

Controversy occurred after the Asian Cup 2025 match between India and Pakistan in Dubai on Sunday, September 14. The two teams exceeded the usual handshake after the match, as India showed solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam earlier this year, as 26 tourists lost their lives.

Rashid Latif criticized the India team for his clear refusal, saying that bringing politics to the cricket field was inappropriate. Latif accused the Suryakumar Yadav team by leading politics after the last match.

India’s match was made in high tension. After Pahalgam’s attack, politicians and fans urged the match to boycott against Archrivals. However, BCCI decided to move forward and play against Pakistan in the championship of eight teams.

India crosses the handshake after the match after victory over Pakistan

The match started with Captain Syria, Yadaf, avoiding any handshake or contact with Salman Ali Agha. After winning the six, Syrian and Seif Dubi returned to the dressing room without shaking hands after the usual match with Pakistan players.

Later, the Pakistan team, alongside coach Mike Hisson, approached the Indian dressing room to make a handshake, but the Indian administration closed the doors. Hisson, frustrated, told the media that his players wanted to shake hands.

The India team made it clear that they do not want to maintain a friendly atmosphere with their opponents. Both teams can meet again in Super 4S. It will be interesting to see how India approaches men in green.

India should have been fighting the war – Rashid Latifa

Speaking to The Times of India, Rashid Latif stated that India should have fought the war instead of accusing Pakistan of covering their mistakes.

Latif said: “Jung Hi Kar Lete, WoH BHI Nahi Ki Puri Tarah SE (India had to war, but they did not do it correctly). India had to have fought the war, and they should not have retreated.”

“To hide their own mistakes, a lot of things are made politically. What happened on Earth was not true.”

In May 2025, India launched the Sindoor operation and attacked the terrorist sites in Pakistan and Kashmir occupied by Pakistan (Pok) in response to the Paalgam attack. Pakistan responded by targeting the civilian areas in India. The conflict continued four days before the end of the ceasefire.
