For some tense minutes on Wednesday, X users were surprised to see one of the encrypted “AirDrop” posts at the blue Andressen Horowitz account. A second tweet said that $ 5 million had been granted.
This account has 851,000 followers. Watch the Crypto A16z team member and posted immediately a warning not to participate. Soon I dropped the post. Air drops are usually used as methods of encrypted currencies to promote themselves.
A16z Techcrunch, and posted on the account, tells: “Earlier today, our X’s account is briefly endangered. During that time, the account encouraged another false symbol and content – none of them originated from A16z. Apology for any confusion caused by the clowns who temporarily seized our account.”
A16Z is well known for its encrypted investments. Since this is a encryption company, jokes and warning tweets have flew: the link is likely to drain a coding portfolio, not adding to it. So, if it is very good to be true – like VC abandoning valuable assets – this is not true.
