Joelinton is unlikely to play with Newcastle again this season after having a knee injury.

The 28 -year -old midfielder missed the victory over Epswich at the end of last week and returned home to Brazil to rest and restore.

On the weekend to Brighton, Magpies is third in the Premier League and looks good to return to the Champions League.

“With Joe, you have never excluded him. He is very excited to try to return,” Director Edi Hao said.

“We have searched for a specialized opinion, and the opinion was that it was not a dangerous thing but he needed a rest period, so it is now in Brazil.

“We will wait and see whether we can return it before the end of the season, but it is more likely not the possibility.”

Luis Miley, Shan Longsazv and Joe Wilok is among the players in the competition to replace the Gowinton store in the midfield.

Hao was exposed to some positive injury as defender Sven Potman is decent to return after returning from the injury last weekend.

“Yes, it came (fine),” the director said. “It has been well trained this week, and it seems good and it seems great positive to return it.”
