Newcastle United was linked to a step for Crystal Palace Mark Goyee’s defender at the end of the season.

They wanted to sign the 24 -year -old England defender last year, but they were priced by a step for him. Crystal Palace was holding for about 70 million pounds last year.

Prices are probably low this summer

According to the former Premier League scouts, Mick Brown, Crystal Palace is unlikely to ask this type of money this summer. Newcastle is still keen on the player, and is now expected to return to him.

“Newcastle is still interested in Mark Joy,” He said to football from the inside.

“They want to sign on the back of a center and is the distinguished candidate for them.

“Everyone knows how careful it is last year, and he has done nothing at the time since the potential suitor was postponed.

“The palace of 70 million pounds will not cost to reject last year for his status in the contract.

“So for Newcastle, this will be a boost for their opportunities to accomplish it on a cheaper deal.

“This does not mean that it will be cheap in any way, but it will not be the same fees amounting to 70 million pounds.”

It will be interesting to know if they can complete the deal. They need defensive reinforcements, and England can constitute a strong partnership with Sven Putman in the heart of their defense.

Newcastle needs to improve defensive if they want to struggle for the main prizes. They have shown tremendous growth in recent seasons, and they are currently pushing to rehabilitate the Champions League. They managed to win the English Premier League this season as well. However, they need better players to compete with elite clubs.

Guehi will help them to improve defensive. Joining Newcastle can allow him to play in the Champions League next season as well. His former club Chelsea is also keen on him.

It remains to see whether Newcastle has made an offer to sign the player in the coming weeks. They will hope to sign him for a reasonable amount of money. His contract with Crystal Palace expires in 2026, and London will be under pressure to sell it this summer.
