Newcastle United sold Elliott Anderson and Yankuba Menté to comply with financial regulations at the start of the season.
Both players have been very impressive for their clubs, and there have been talks about whether Newcastle could look to bring them back to the club in the future. According to a report from Daily MailNewcastle do not have a buy-back clause for Anderson or Mente and would have to pay a premium if they wanted to bring them back.
Nottingham Forest paid around £35m for Anderson Brighton paid £33 million for Mente. It seems unlikely that Newcastle will be able to bring them back to the club any time soon. Both clubs will want to make a significant profit from the players given their recent performances.
Liverpool are monitoring AndersonAccording to recent reports.

Newcastle needs reinforcements
Newcastle could certainly use a quality midfielder like Anderson and a winger like Mente right now. They have been in fantastic form in recent weeks and will be pushing for Champions League qualification. It will be interesting to see if they can secure fourth place and plug the weaknesses in their team. Their priority should be adding more depth to their midfield and defensive unit. They need to sign a goal-scoring winger too. They have been overly reliant on Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak and both players will need more support in the final third.
Meanwhile, the likes of Anderson and Mente will look to continue their development through regular club football and fulfill their potential. They have certainly shown that they can make a mark in the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle will ultimately regret their decision to sell players.
