Newcastle United had an impressive campaign, and they got the Champions League qualifications for the next season.

However, they will need to comply with the strict UEFA requirements before the next season, and they need to increase the number of local players within the team.

UEFA Standards Newcastle

According to UEFA regulations, Newcastle needs to get at least four players in the club for a period of not less than three years between the ages of 15 and 21 years.

Currently, Sean LongSTAF is the only player in the team that meets the standards. Therefore, Newcastle will have to bring local players during the summer transfer window. According to a report from AthleteThey can look forward to the resignation of a former Oscar graduate in order to meet the standards of the European Football Association.

According to reports, players such as Freddy, Woodman, Tim Kroll and Fraser Forster can be on their radar. It remains to see whether they decide to take a step for any of the three goalkeepers in the summer.

Woodman has achieved well with Prestton, and he may be a useful player. Likewise, KRUL is to be released by Luton Town, and can fancy the opportunity to return to his former English Premier League club.

As for Forster, he was released by Tottenham Hotspur, and it remains to see whether Magpies decides to move to it. The likes of Kru and Forster have extensive experience in the Premier League, and may prove that they are useful acquisitions.

The signature of either of them on the free conversion will be a process of acquisition that is not at risk, and this will not cost a large amount of money as well. It remains to see what the club decides in the next few weeks.
