Newcastle Jack Ross has appointed president of the club’s football strategy.
SCOT has moved to roles behind the scenes over the past three years after its dismissal as director of Dunde United in 2022 after only seven games.
He was the position of head of strategic football partnerships in Newcastle, but he would start his new position immediately, and at the appropriate time, he submits a report to a new sports director who has not yet been appointed.

Ross told the club’s official website: “I am pleased to move to the role of the president of football,” Ross told the club’s official website.
“This is an exciting opportunity to help the club build the outstanding progress and the successes it has achieved inside and outside the stadium in recent seasons.
“We have very high employees here across multiple columns for the club, and I look forward to their support in this new position.”
What does the president of the football strategy already do?
According to Newcastle, it includes the role:
- Supervising the loan of the club player and the emerging talent strategy
- Leadership in building strategic relationships with other clubs
- Providing new opportunities to develop football and talent track in the United Kingdom and abroad
- Enable the depth of talents and keep it
- Support the development of the global brand for Newcastle United
Stadium of light conflicts for Ross
Ross’s failure in Dunde United came after a mixed talisman in Hibernian, which saw Edinburgh in third place in the Scottish Premier League in 2021 – the highest level in 16 years – before a round of seven defeats in nine games, and complaints about the role of playing, led to his rejection in the following season.
Before that, he worked in the Newcastle competitors in Sunderland.
He was brought to directing Wearsiders to the tournament after the successive landing, and was shortened with the loss of Sunderland in the final of the match to Charlton.
Ross, whose name was made in Scotland with Aloa and St. Mirin, was sacked by Sunderland after five months.
