Poja Tripathi may not become a successful comedy if it does not leave its companies’ marketing function in the middle of the meeting in 2018.

By that time, Tripathi spent five years working in the fashion industry, but she was defeated after dealing with a Sam coach, she says. One morning, at a meeting at the last minute, its president began insulting Tripathi personally in front of its director. She saw her co-workers taking similar bullying in the past-she decided to leave the job, as she got a salary from the mid-five immediately, she says.

“The presence of a job that everyone thinks is great … (then) feeling that you cannot reach any goals that are not easy,” says Tripathi, 32, says. “You feel like a lie.”

She says the second act of the Tripathi profession is more authentic, satisfactory and twice as profitable. With a friend, I started writing and behaving for the YouTube series, and over time, she became a successful content creator, she says.

Tripathi began its most popular project, BROKLYN Café, in June 2023. In short videos posted on Tiktok and Instagram, she plays a dry and uninterrupted Parista role, and she often refuses to drink from non -designer clients.

some Series episodes It is seen more than 3 million times.

She says that the success of the series helped in the brand deals for social media on Tripathi. She says she is now getting more than twice as much as she used to earn as a fashion marketer, which is enough to finish her part -time jobs and focus on full -time social media in December 2024.

She adds that this series began to deal with its brand offers.

Content creation risks and rewards

She says Tripathi had to risk to reach this extent. She had no experience in writing a comedy or behaving before she left her fashion marketing. She says that she seized a colleague of the room in her one -bedroom apartment in New York to save money and make part -time marketing jobs to cover bills while she was building social media in her spare time.

“I had a very strong North star, which I needed another salary,” she says. “My mother was calling me and reminding me that I would not get healthy insurance (as soon as I am 26 years old) … I think there is fear at the heart of all Americans that if we do not lead, if we are not money, we cannot go to the doctor.”

Trebathi says that reconciling multiple jobs while trying to succeed in an uncertain functional path was mentally exhausted – but going out with Brooklyn’s cafe was normal. In 2023, she spent 30 minutes discussing alternative dairy products, such as water buffalo milk, with a friend and Parista in a café.

She went home, and she set up iPhone on Traibud and filmed herself practicing the conversation – playing both Parista and the customer – in front of a temporary green screen in her apartment. She says that the first batch of the series got more than a million views.

The production of the chain looks very different now. Tripathi divides the burden of production work with her boyfriend, Sagi Shahar, who helps in sound design, and her friends like NITAI Dagan and Eyal Cohen, director of the series and cinematic photographer, respectively. Another friend adds in special effects, such as kiosk screens that demand fictional customers to act more than 200 %.

Comedians such as Kyle Gordon, Grace Reiter and Gianmarco Soresi are now a guest star as customers as well.

“We can only do (what we do) because everyone is technically smart,” says Tripathi. “It is possible that work with guests (and crew) is the only thing that is rewarding in my entire career so far.”
