The Israeli media says that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proposes completely reshaping the Gaza Strip when the security cabinet meets.
“The template has been thrown. We are going to the complete conquest of the Gaza Strip – and the defeat of Hamas,” the local journalists quoted a senior official.
In response to reports that the army commander and other military leaders are opposed to the plan, the official who did not reveal his name said: “If this does not succeed with the chief of staff, he must resign.”
The hostages families fear that such plans can endanger their loved ones, as it is believed that 20 out of 50 years old in Gaza, while opinion polls indicate that three out of four Israelis prefer a ceasefire deal to return it.
Many Israel’s close allies will also condemn such a step because they are pressuring to end the war and work to reduce the humanitarian crisis.
Inside Israel, hundreds of retired Israeli security officials, including former heads of intelligence agencies, She issued a joint message to US President Donald Trump on MondayInviting him to pressure Netanyahu to end the war.
One of the two positions, the former head of the Intelligence Agency, Ami Ayalon, told the BBC that the additional military measures will be useless.
“On the military side, Hamas is completely destroyed. On the other hand, as an ideology, it gets more and more power among the Palestinian people, within the Arab street around us, and also in the world of Islam.
“So the only way to defeat Hamas’s ideology is to provide a better future.”
The latest developments come after indirect talks with Hamas in the ceasefire and a hostage deal, and the Palestinian armed groups issued three videos of the second Israeli hostage to seem weak and exciting.
ROM Blaslavski and EvyATAR DAVID footage were shocked, both of whom were kidnapped from the Nova Music Festival on October 7, 2023, the horrific Israelis. David shows drilling what he says is his grave in an underground tunnel.
There was some speculation that the latest media ads were a pressure tactic to try to force Hamas on a new agreement.
The Israeli army says it has already enjoys operational control over 75 % of Gaza. But under the proposed plan, it will occupy the entire region – moving to the areas where more than two million Palestinians are now concentrated.
It is not clear what this means for civilians, United Nations and other relief groups. About 90 % of 2.1 million people in Gaza have been displaced, some of them again and again, and live in overcrowded and with. Humanitarian groups and United Nations officials say that many are starving, accusing Israel of obstructing the distribution of decisive aid.
Meanwhile, Israel says it will allow local businessmen in Gaza to restart some commodities as part of the efforts made to improve the conditions there. Approved items include children’s food, fruits, vegetables and hygiene products. Special imports were previously stopped due to allegations that Hamas was benefiting from them.
The Israeli army has previously stopped seizing some regions of Gaza, including the central parts, due to the assumption of neighborhood hostages in detainees there. Last year, six Israeli hostages were executed by their kidnappers after the land forces moved.
There was no official response, but officials from the Palestinian Authority, which governs parts of the occupied West Bank, condemned the Israeli proposal, and called on the international community to intervene to prevent any new military occupation.
The Palestinians point out that the right -wing Israeli ministers were calling out publicly about the complete occupation and the annexation of Gaza and eventually wanted to build new Jewish settlements there.
In 2005, Israel dismantled settlements in the Gaza Strip and withdrew its forces from there.
But besides Egypt, it maintained strict control of the region.
The new idea of the occupation comes amid increasing international moves to revive the two-state solution-the international formula for a long time to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for decades. It imagines that an independent Palestinian state be created alongside Israel in the West Bank and Gaza Strip with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Last week, the United Kingdom and Canada joined France in announcing conditional plans to recognize a Palestinian state.
The Israeli Prime Minister is now expected to meet with the main ministers and military leaders to make the following decisions in Gaza. The Israeli Army Radio says it is scheduled to discuss the army’s initial plans to surround the central refugee camps and implement air strikes and land raids.
Netanyahu said he would hold a full meeting in the security cabinet this week.
Commentators in the Israeli media have expressed doubts and attracted attention to the military, political and diplomatic challenges. Writing in the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, Nahum Barnea says: “Netanyahu has never been unprecedented on this scale before.”
It indicates that the Israeli Prime Minister repeated his pledge to achieve all his goals in the war.
“But after 22 months of bloody fighting, it is difficult to take these types of promises seriously. Netanyahu seems to have only one goal in the war in Gaza, to prolong the war.”
Israel launched its military attack in Gaza in response to Hamas’s attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken to Gaza as hostages.
Hamas -running Ministry of Health says at least 61,020 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since then.
