The rescuers ran on oxygen and water for students trapped in the unstable concrete ruins of the collapsed school building in Indonesia, where they worked desperately on free survivors on Tuesday morning more than 12 hours of the fall of the temple.
At least one student was killed, dozens were wounded and 65 were buried in the rubble. Rescuers say the number of deaths is likely to rise.
Rescue workers, police and soldiers who were digging during the night launched eight of the weak and wounded survivors, more than eight hours after the collapse of the internal school of the Islamic in the eastern city of Sidwaro.
Officials said that a male student was killed and 99 other students were transferred to hospitals with wounds, some of them are in critical condition.
Students’ families gathered in hospitals or near the collapsed building, pending the news of their children impatiently. The relatives were moving away while their celebrities of the rescue men pulled a bound student from a buried hall.
A notification board was included in the driving publication in the inner school complex 65 people missing from Tuesday morning. Most students were boys in grades from seven to 11, between the ages of 12 and 17.

“Please find my child”, takes care of the father
“My son is still buried. Oh my God, please help!” The mother cried hysterically when seeing her child’s name on the blackboard, followed by the cries of other parents whose relatives suffered a similar fate.
“Please, sir, please find my child immediately,” a father cried, holding the hand of a member of the rescue team.
Nanang Sigit, the search and rescue officer who leads this effort, said the heavy panels of concrete and other ruins and unstable parts of the building hindered the search and rescue efforts. Heavy equipment was available but not used due to concerns that may cause further collapse.
“We have operated the oxygen and water for those who are still trapped under the debris and keep them alive while we are working hard to take them out,” said Sigit.
He added that the rescuers saw many bodies spread under the rubble, but they focused on saving those who were still alive. Several hundreds of rescuers participated in this effort.

Police spokesman, Jul Abraham Abast, said that the students were doing in the afternoon prayer in a building that was subject to unauthorized expansion when it suddenly collapsed over them.
The residents, teachers and administrators helped the injured students, many of whom suffer from broken head and bones. The survivors said that the students were praying in another part of the building and managed to escape.
The authorities were investigating the cause of the collapse. Abast said that the old prayer hall was two floors, but two additional levels were added without a permit.
“It seems that the basis of the old building is unable to support two floors of concrete and collapsed during a casting process,” said Abast.
