Mumbai International Airport to get Indothai after the removal of Celby Türkiye

Mumbai International Airport, owned by the Adani Group, entered into partnership with Indothai, a ground treatment company, to obtain the workforce and the resources of Celebi Aviation. The action was taken by the Civil Aviation Security Office (BCAS) to withdraw the security clearance of Celebi due to the concerns of the national security resulting from Türkiye’s support for Pakistan.

Before that, Seleby was responsible for about 70 % of the ground operations at Mumbai Airport, where he supervised passenger services, pregnancy monitoring, flight operations, goods, mail, warehouses, and bridge operations.

According to reports, during the transition process, nearly 3000 CELIBI employees will be transferred to Indothai, and new airport entry permits (AEPS) will be provided by the new employer. To ensure a smooth transfer, the Civil Aviation Security Office (BCAS) has prolonged the current AEPS health until May 19, providing a great time to distribute updated passes.

Indothai provides ground handling services at various Indian airports such as Pune, Kolkata, Amritsar, Varanasi, Calicut, BhubanesWar, Guahati and Jaipur.

Among the nine airports served by Celby, Mumbai is the only site with a new operator appointed, CNBC TV18 said.

Meanwhile, current Earth treatments such as AISAL, AISATS and Birdwide Flight Services will be responsible for integrating Celebi and assets into other locations, including Delhi International Airport.

Adani Airport Holdings announced on Thursday that it has ended the concession agreements on the ground with the Turkish company Celebi for Mumbai and Ahmedabad airports.

“In the wake of the decision of the government of India to cancel the security clearance of Celebi, we have ended the concession agreements on the ground with Celby at the Chattabati Shevagi International Airport in Mumbai (CSMIA) and Ahmed Abad Sardar Airport, Vallahai Patel International (Siviaya).

On Thursday, Delhi International Airport (DIAL) decided to end its partnership with the administration of çelebi airport in India and the management of the Delhi shipping station. Çelebi was responsible for passenger examination, slope operations, and goods treatment, allowing them great control over the critical airport areas.
