David Moyes admitted that Everton was “unprepared to start the Premier League season” more than two weeks from the start of the big match.
Moyes has repeatedly highlighted the slow transfer window in Toffees as a cause of anxiety and called again to urge after a 2-1 defeat against West Ham in the summer chain in Chicago during the night.
Idrissa Gana Gueye Menes put in the foreground, but a mistake from the new goalkeeper Mark Travers enabled Lucas Paqueta a tie and replacement Niclaas Fullkrug, winner of Hammers Midway during the second half.
Moyes insists that he was not worried about the result – or the defeats against Bournemouth and Blackburn and a draw with Akrington who preceded it – but it grows increasingly due to the lack of progress of the players.
Everton has signed four players so far this summer – Tarfars, midfielder Charlie Carraz, striker Therino Barry and The left back Adam Azno – But Moyes wants at least five others.
He said: “We are not ready to do well enough in this tournament. We are not ready to start the Premier League season.
“I don’t feel excessive anxiety (results) because I do not have the players I need and what I want.
“It is clear that we were facing it from the beginning. We knew before we came (to the United States) we were really dealing with. So, we will never be coming here and win (games).
“I think our attack is very bad. I think we haven’t created enough chances anywhere.
“I think the way we play in this field from the stadium at the present time was less than an equal foot, but we made individual mistakes that showed us this too.
“She has emerged tonight, some goalkeeper errors. On the weekend we made some mistakes against Bournemouth.”
Next for Everton is a clash with the former MANCHESESter United team in Atlanta on Sunday.
By that time, Scott hopes to reinforce a team believed to lack numbers.
He added: “There is a bigger rotation for players now in the clubs. They used to say,” Hey, to sign perhaps three or perhaps four players every season. “
“But because of the way the biggest difference is separated and perhaps the boys who do not get a game, they want to go, and you find that there is a biggest door than the players. So many clubs will sign very large numbers, and they are now more than in the past if you look at it.
“We wanted to have players in a much closer, especially coming here (to the United States), I knew that we would be incredibly abbreviated.”
Time is running out with Moyes and Everton, who opened their campaign in the Premier League in Leeds, which was newly promoted on August 18.
