More than just very thin

When I first heard that Samsung was restoring the name of the edge as a highly new member of the S25 family, all I was thinking about was: Why? Frankly, I believed that the phone makers had exceeded their hunger for thinness for nearly a decade. The pursuit of millimeters outside the devices led to the worst battery life, additional heat and limited features. So what gives?

On a certain level, just like fashion, old trends over time can become new and elegant again. In addition, after the phones moved to 5G – which require additional energy, the most complex modem devices and the largest antenna – modern components began to shrink again, which mainly paves the way for the return of thin phones. But then he hit me. Although thinness may be the most remarkable thing on the edge of the Galaxy S25, this is not enough to justify the creation of a completely new device. Instead, I think this phone is part of a greater task by Samsung to make the middle child from the leading mobile collection of a member of the most attractive family. When it was shown in this light, I actually think it is very successful.

Although it suffers from a smaller battery and a telegraphic lens, the S25 is more than just a very elegant phone, a purely designer for extreme thinness.

Positives

  • Stylish design
  • Titanium frame
  • Large camera 200 megapixel main
  • Bright OLED screen
cons

  • The smallest battery on any S25 phone
  • No phone lens
  • Medium wire charging speed
  • Completely incompatible QI2

$ 1100 in Samsung

Now don’t understand me a mistake, although my fists about the thinnest phones are less practical, the S25 Edge is beautifully designed. Only 5.8 mm (0.23 inches), it feels impossible. What might be more impressive is that Samsung did not laugh at durability to get here too. Just like S25 UltraThe edge features a titanium frame, the IP68 classification for dust and water resistance, and the 2 stronger gorilla gorilla plate covering the display. The only difference is that the edge screen has a shiny end instead of a non-matte like Ultra because-and I do not bother you-Samsung says that anti-reflected paint will increase its thickness. Glory to adhering to the strict design philosophy, because with regard to the feeling and absolute aesthetics, the S25 Edge is undoubtedly charming.

However, although the S25 Edge shares some properties with Ultra, such as its frame and the main camera, at least when it comes to its total size, it is really more than the S25+. It has the same 6.7 -inch OLED panel with a 120 Hz update and is vibrant and great color as before. Although it weighs slightly less at 163 grams or 5.75 ounces against the S25+ (190G or 6.7 ounces).

Like the rest of the S25 family, the edge is run by Snapdragon 8 ELITE for the Galaxy SIM with 12 GB RAM or 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. Despite the integrated dimensions, Samsung still finds space to press a vapor room inside to prevent suffocation and apostasy. So even when paying, the back of the phone is rarely more than lukewarm with a strong performance because I was playing, multiple tasks or doing anything you can think about.

Another main departure from the basic mold for the S25+is that the edge features a 200 -megapixel sensor from Ultra, along with a 12 -megapixel high -resolution camera. But there is no custom zoom. Now at first, I felt a little male because I think any phone is expensive to have a phone lens. However, the huge amount of pixel units that the primary sensor of the edge can capture is that you have a large amount of freedom to come out without analyzing the image quality. You just need to remember to tell the camera by photographing a full 200 -megapixel mode instead of standard 12MP. Another small change is that EDGE features a self -12 -megapixel camera with a slightly wider S25+ and Ultra, which allows you to fit more people in collective clips, but this is the really main difference.

In general, the S25 Edge takes great pictures. The colors are rich and the details are clear, although you still get a slightly saturated Samsung colors and warmer tones. The same applies to low light shots. For this review, instead of comparing it with pixels or iPhone, the edge incited against Motorola Razer. I feel both try to attract people who want an elegant and elegant device, but they do it in completely different ways.
