More than 900 former employees of the US Department of Justice warned on Wednesday the Republican Judicial Committee against the confirmation of President Donald Trump Emile Bouf from working as a judge in the Court of Appeal, according to Reuters.
The message comes one day before the committee was appointed to vote on the progress of Bove’s nomination to work in the American Court of Appeal for the Third Senate to the full Senate.
The former employees wrote: “We were concerned about the recent deviations of the leadership of the Ministry of Justice about the constitutional principles and institutional handrails,” adding that he was “suffering from” the department.
“Emile Bouv was a pioneer in this attack.”
The message was signed by officials who served by the Kennedy administration through the current Trump administration, and was organized by JUSTICE Connection, a new group launched to defense on behalf of the employees of the Ministry of Justice.
Doj defends Bov
Gates McGavik, a spokesman for the Ministry of Justice, defended Bouv in a statement on Wednesday, saying that he was “a highly qualified judicial candidate who did incredible action in the Ministry of Justice to help protect civil rights, dismantle foreign terrorist organizations, and make America safe again.”
Bove, a senior Justice Ministry official who is also part of the Trump’s defense team in a felony in 2023 in New York, has been criticized for using aggressive tactics.
Participated in decisions to shoot the prosecutors who dealt with cases against the people who stormed the American Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Bouv also pressed the prosecutors in Manhattan and Washington, DC, to drop the charges of criminal corruption against the mayor of New York City Eric Adams, 11 lawyers paid resignation to protest.

Earlier this week, 76 federal judges and states sent a message to the committee in opposing Bove’s nomination.
