Mohamed Salah moved clear of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry in the Premier League scoring charts as he sealed Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Ipswich Town.
Salah scored the second in Saturday’s comfortable win Taking his all-time Premier League tally to 176 goals in 285 appearances during his time with both the Reds and his former employers Chelsea.
The goal sees him move into seventh place in the all-time league goalscoring charts, and moves Salah above Henry, who finished his stay on the English summer tour with 175 goals from 258 appearances.
Salah will be hoping to move higher this season, with his 177 goals surpassed by former Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard in his eyes. Sergio Aguero (184) and Andy Cole (187) look to be in danger of losing their places in the pecking order, with Salah in some of the best goal-scoring form of his career this season.
The goal for Ipswich was also his century at Anfield in the Premier League. Since the competition began in 1992, no other player has come close to a century of home runs Liverpoolwith Robbie Fowler closest at 85.
