About 475 workers, most of them citizens of South Korea, were arrested during a United States ICE raid (ICE) on the Hyundai factory that was welcomed as the “largest development project” in Georgia. The incident can exacerbate tensions between Washington and Seoul, a major American ally who has been encouraged to increase investments in the United States.
