Michael Kors has reportedly left his location at the San Francisco Center

Michael Kors is closing its store in the San Francisco Center shopping mall in California’s downtown area.

The luxury store posted notices telling shoppers that the site “would love to share with you the best at Michael Kors San Francisco,” SFGate reported over the weekend.

Michael Kors didn’t show up between brands in the San Francisco Center store directory Tuesday morning, and the brand’s website no longer lists a San Francisco location.

The shopping center is located near the Union Square area Downtown San Francisco.

“This store will be closing soon, but we hope you’ll visit us at” another Michael Kors location in Santa Clara, a sign on the store’s door said, according to a photo taken by SFGate.

The shuttered Michael Kors store joins several other retailers that have exited the San Francisco center in recent years, such as Adidas, American Eagle, J.K. Crew, Madewell, Aldo, Nordstrom and L’Occitane.

FOX Business has reached out for comment regarding the Michael Kors store closing.

The San Francisco center is still home to Aritzia, Bath & Body Works, Bloomingdale’s, Coach, Kate Spade, Rolex, Ray Ban, Tumi and others, according to the online store guide.

In June, the shopping center said seven companies had leased new space, including five for retail and two for offices, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

London Breed, then mayor of San Francisco, said at the time that the new tenants “will add energy and increase traffic as we work to make the center a bustling hub again.”

The San Francisco Center is located on 5.97 acres and has more than 1.1 million square feet of gross leasable area. according to Rental brochure on the mall’s website.

It stated that about 4.2 million people visit the shopping center every year.
