Michael Clarke hails Nitish Reddy’s stunning knock in the MCG Test

The former Australian skipper continued to suggest a promotion for Reddy in the batting order. “I think he should definitely hit seven if not six,” Clark said.

“He has been India’s top run-scorer and at 21 years old, which is unbelievable. He has been underrated the whole series.

Ready’s versatility impresses Clark

Clarke highlighted Reddy’s versatility and composure, describing him as a complete package. “He impressed everyone. He was not afraid of any Australian bowler. He was patient when he needed patience. He batted with his tail very well. He showed his intent. He bats, bowls and fields,” Clark added.

With the final Test of the series starting at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on January 3, Clark He believes Reddy deserves a bigger role. “I think he’s good enough to finish sixth. What a great choice for India to play in the final Test match,” the 43-year-old said.

Australia’s win at the MCG gave them a 2-1 lead in the series. For India, Reddy’s impressive performance is a rare bright spot as they aim to level the series in Sydney. His consistent performances throughout the series cemented his status as a rising star in Indian cricket.
