Merck says it has maintained all the sailing across the Pacific in spite of the tariff, and the uncertainty in the trade

The company said in a statement, “Some continue as planned, while others are looking to ship from or to other markets, while the third category chooses to postpone the shipments that they originally store in anticipation of a future decision of the situation,” the company said in a statement.

However, the company added that it will continue to assess the situation and comply with the demand for its services between China and the United States, including continuing the practice of replacing large ships with the smallest.

The current Trump administration policy includes a 10 % comprehensive tariff on goods from most countries and 145 % of import products from China. China and other countries responded to the definitions of American goods.

However, it seems that the two largest economies in the world in recent days have eased their positions, as Washington indicates openness to reducing the definitions and Beijing to exempt some US imports from its 125 % drawings.
