Amid England’s loaded chaos on Saturday afternoon across all four divisions, there was also plenty of action across Europe.

Real Madrid have been in action and looking to extend their lead at the top of La Liga to rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

In Germany, Harry Kane and Bayern Munich faced off against Freiburg as the England captain continued his bid to win a first major piece of silverware.

Antonio Conte’s Napoli hosted Serie A title challengers Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain looked to continue their march towards one more league title.

Read on to see how each team fared throughout the day.

Real Alwaleed 0-3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid cruised to a dominant 3-0 win against the Real Madrid side at Estadio Jose Zorrilla, inspired by a brilliant hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe opened the scoring on the half-hour mark after a clever two-one-one with Jude Bellingham. The French striker stepped a minute shot past goalkeeper Hayne, giving Madrid the lead.

Valladolid’s resistance was limited to an early chance, saved by Thibaut Courtois, but they struggled to create further chances, ending with just one shot on target.

In the second half, Mbappe doubled his tally with a clinical finish after a quick counter-attack that included Rodrigo. He then capped his performance with a penalty scored in stoppage time to complete his first hat-trick for the club. The final moments saw Valladolid’s Mario Martin make a dangerous tackle.

This win sees Real Madrid move four points clear of Atletico Madrid, at the top of La Liga.

Freiburg 1-2 Bavaria Munich

Bayern Munich secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Freiburg to maintain their position at the top of the Bundesliga.

Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 15th minute, expertly cutting off Lenhart before slotting home a low drive from Ateopolou for his 17th league goal of the season.

The visitors doubled their advantage early in the second half when Joshua Kimmich delivered a set corner, allowing Min-Jae Kim to nod home from close range. However, Freiburg refused to roll, pulling one back in the 68th minute. Ritsu Doan’s perfectly weighted corner found Matthias Ginter, who rose above Kim to direct his header into the bottom corner.

Despite late pressure from the hosts, including a near miss from Grigoric in extra time, Bayern held firm. Kingsley Coman went close to extending the lead, forcing a fine from Atubolu, but it proved unnecessary as the Bavarian giants saw out the game.

Napoli 2-1 Juventus

Napoli staged a brilliant second-half comeback to defeat Juventus 2-1 at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, extending their lead at the top of Serie A.

The visitors took the lead in the first half when debutant Randall Kolo Mwani fired a shot beyond Alex Meret in the 43rd minute.

Despite creating a few scripts, Napoli lacked sharpness in the opening period, failing to test Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio.

However, the hosts showed a different side after the break. They drew level in the 57th minute through Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa’s well-placed header from a Matteo Politano cross.

Their effort paid off in the 69th minute when Manuel Locatelli clumsily fouled Scott McTominay in the box. Romelu Lukaku coolly converted a penalty, his goal marking his 200th in Europe’s top five leagues.

Victory pushes Napoli six points out of second place, while Juventus remains in fifth place.

PSG 1-1 Reims

Paris Saint-Germain were left frustrated as Reims held them to a 1-1 draw at Parc des Princes for the third time in a row.

Ousmane Dembele gave the hosts the lead just two minutes into the second half with a deflected strike after assisting Khvica Kvaracheliya on his debut. However, Reims returned nine minutes later, as Keito Nakamura ended Marshall Munetsi’s layoff.

Goncalo Ramos came closest in the first half, hitting the post and turning in a free header, while DembΓ©lΓ© forced a powerful save from Yehvann Diouf. The visitors were clinical, registering their only shot on target, with Nakamura taking his tally to eight goals.

PSG’s late pressure was repelled by resilient defending from Reims, including a crucial block by Cedric Kipre.

Paris Saint-Germain extends their lead at the top to ten points, but they will feel their missed opportunities as they now turn their attention to the Champions League clash against Stuttgart.
