Chelsea coach Enzo Marisa admits that the Blues aspire to compete with Liverpool before their meeting on Saturday.
The English Premier League champions West London welcomes Stamford Bridge after both in the Champions League in the middle of the week.
After the REDS team fell for the first time last week against Crystal Palace, then again against Galatasaray, Chelsea will imagine their chances of building some of the momentum that affects the need for international rest.
Speaking before the match, Marisca said: “I consider them the best team in England today. They have shown it, they won the Premier League.
“Where are we at this moment, we are improving, trying to solve problems, and find solutions. In the end, we will be there – close.
“I think we started very well, in terms of results and performance, the first four or five games.
Perhaps the rest of the games did not get the points that we definitely wanted, but we have already analyzed the reasons for this.
“Most of the games did not get the points because they were very complicated for us because of the red card. But there is no doubt that our injury position at this moment, we have eight players.
“Therefore, it is a combination of the composition that we have no doubt that we will be slow as we need to be.”

Maricca had to tend to his youth players after injuries to many members of the first team.
Cole Palmer William Dilab get out of the issues, in addition to the likes of Wesley Fovana and Levi Colwell have yet to have fought this term.
Speaking of trusting his younger crop, Marisca added: “I think it is the fact that I really trust young players – not only those we buy but from the academy.
“We have played (Josh) games, and left the big players on the bench, and this indicates that I trust the young players.
“The same thing happened with Ty (Tyrique George), I really trust the players we have.
“As you say, we have four or five defenders, but we will try to adapt and find a solution tomorrow.”
