“Many of us knew that Donald Trump will be more dangerous than the first.”

Red Brody, former New York Prosecutor, and a famous human rights lawyer known for the accountability of dictators, is now a warning at home. He describes what he considers an “unprecedented attack on freedom of expression” in the United States: a wide and systematic effort to silence any opposition (in the media, in law companies, NGOs, universities) using all government tools. This goes beyond censorship, tells us Brody. “It is a Litmus test for Donald Trump,” is imposed by the pressure of companies and organizational threats. He points to recent cases such as the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel’s offer, and CBS announces that the late offer with Stephen Colibs will end in May 2026, during the major risks of a billion dollar talks with federal organizers. From late television at night to elite universities, Broody argues that the opposition voices are pressured through indirect but deliberate means, not by violating the first amendment, but by exploiting every possible loophole in the law, accompanied by wide cranes of force. “What is happening is more harmful and dangerous,” violating freedom of expression, warns. It is targeted, advanced, and created in legitimacy.
