Crystal Palace club president Steve Parish has confirmed that early talks are underway regarding a new contract with Oliver Glasner, amid speculation about the Austrian manager’s future.
Having transformed Palace since his arrival, Glasner has quickly become one of the most talked about managers in the Premier League.
With rumors of interest from other clubs swirling, Palace are keen to lock him down before next season, but both sides acknowledge the importance of getting the conditions right.
Due to Ruben Amorim’s poor performance at Manchester United, Glasner has been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Oliver Glasner has had great success at Crystal Palace
Since replacing Roy Hodgson in February 2024, Glasner has overseen a remarkable turnaround at Selhurst Park. Under his leadership, Palace won their first major trophy in the club’s history by lifting the FA Cup.
He also helped deliver the club’s first ever European campaign, in the Conference League.
Parish revealed that the club and Glasner have already held “early talks” about a new deal.
But he stressed that any agreement must meet Glassner’s conditions. He told talkSPORT, as reported Standard:
“We’ve had some early conversations.
“We would love to keep Oliver. We are building something. We are building something.”
“I think for Oliver it’s about having the conditions right…. It’s about having everything be in such a way that he enjoys his work and finds the conditions conducive to achieving it.
“Oliver wants to win things. If we can reconcile those interests, hopefully we can achieve something.”
Manchester United suffer a major blow in pursuit of Glasner

Palace’s desire to extend Oliver Glasner’s tenure is understandable, as he has brought unprecedented success, identity and momentum to the club.
Minors must meet Glassner’s criteria beyond the pay package. If they can reconcile these interests, retaining their manager could be possible amid interest from other top clubs.
Glasner’s shares have soared this year and Palace is doing everything in its power to secure his future.
