Recent reports indicate this Joshua Zirkzee could be fired from Manchester United Due to limited opportunities, it seems that coach Ruben Amorim has no place for the Dutch striker in his plans.

The Dutch striker, signed by former manager Erik Ten Hag, struggled to make an impact at the club and now with Benjamin Sisko leading the club’s attack, Zirkzee knows he will only be used as a substitute.

Since this is the season when most players are looking forward to playing as much football as possible due to the World Cup tournament that will be held next year, Zirkzee is worried about his chances with the Netherlands national team.

Joshua Zirkzee wants more playing time

In order to prepare himself for the World Cup, he wants regular football and this has become the reason why he has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford.

However, Amorim still wants him to stay at the club.

Journalist Ben Jacobs claimed that the United manager admires the striker and wants to keep him at the club.

Joshua Zirkzee is ready to leave Manchester United in January although Ruben Amorim wants him to stay. Ben Jacobs said Wednesday evening (via GiveMeSport).

Zirkzee is starting to worry about his World Cup chances; playing time is limited, Benjamin Sisko has arrived, and Mateusz Cunha can also play as a nine, so Zirkzee, like Kobe Maino, could now request a loan move for minutes with the World Cup in mind.

“In January, I kept an eye on PSV Eindhoven, because I was told they were open to a loan deal. Napoli were interested – past tense because they have now added Rasmus Hoglund – so it is very unlikely, if not impossible, that they would return.

“Manchester United are reluctant to agree to an exit, and if it is a permanent sale, it will not be fun whether (it is in) January or the summer unless Manchester United can do better than losing a book, which they paid £43m for. I think it will be difficult for Zirkzee to walk away.”

Manchester United should keep the Dutchman at the club

Allowing Zirkzee to leave is not without risks. If his next club unlocks his potential, United may look back and regret letting go of him early.

The winter period is also short, and finding a replacement that fits the Amorim system can be difficult.

The player and his representatives must also agree on a destination that provides playing time and competition prospects.

Zirkzee’s position at Man United has quickly shifted from hoped-for investment to potential exit.

Whether he stays or leaves, this decision will impact United’s recruitment approach, squad balance and ambition this season.
