Representative Nicole Malekokis, RN.Y, warns of New York residents to remain alert to their surroundings after a deadly mass shooting in the heart of Manhattan on Monday.
The only Republic New York City In the House of Representatives, she warned that little was still known for what led to the accident, which she said was “isolated”.

“It does not seem to have been a random attack. It seems that he had a motivation to go to this particular building. But everyone should remain vigilant. I mean, we know in the world after September 11, we always need to stay awake, keep our eyes open and inform the things that feel suspicious,” said Malekakis.

She said it was a “relative” position, noting that the man was arrested on the armed camera with an offensive rifle walking in the Park Avenue building, where he opened the fire soon.
“My heart is broken for the wife and children of this police officerAnd all the families who lost their loved ones yesterday. Because people, as you know, leave their home, go to work, go to their usual routine and do not return to the house, “said Malayotakis.
“It is clear that this is shocking, which is a trauma, but it is also a reminder of the extent of the fragility of life and how we need to stay awake as a society and a country. Anything can happen at any time.”
Malekakis urged their colleagues not to politicize the situation, and said that she expects the legislators to be informed by the NYPD.

“It is clear that this person may not have been on the city’s radar because he was coming from Nevada. The question was, on the law enforcement radar in Nevada or the federal government, because of the date of criminal activity or mental illness?”
“What is its motive, (was) a history that could have raised the red flag?” I asked.
The gunman, which was identified by the 27 -year -old police in the name of Shen Tamura, traveled from the western part of the United States to New York City, where he opened fire and killed three people inside a company office building in central Manhattan before running the gun on himself.
Police said that Tamura had the title of Las Vegas and believed that he had a “documented history of mental health,” according to the New York Policemist Jessica Tish.

Mayor Eric Adams said Fox 5 New York Tamura seems to be targeting the US Football Association, which is located in the building, along with other organizations.

Many people left dead, including a police officer and Tamura himself, and many others were injured.
Adams said that a man’s suicide note indicated to him, which is struggling with chronic painful brain disorders (CTE) and Blame the American Football AssociationAlthough he did not play with the professional league.
Adams said: “We are still going through a suicide note to zero in the exact cause,” Adams said.
