Mahmoud Khalil pledges to continue to “talk about Palestine” after the release Donald Trump News

The former Colombia University student was released from the detention center on Friday after he was detained for more than three months.

Mahmoud Khalil, the former Colombia University, has pledged to continue protesting the Israeli war on Gaza, as well as the United States’s support for military operations for Israel.

Khalil, who was released on Friday night, after his arrest for more than three months at a detention center, told reporters at the Newark International Airport in New Jersey on Saturday that the government financed “this genocide (Gaza), and that Columbia University is investing in this genocide.”

“This is the reason why I will continue to protest with each of you. Not only if they threaten me with detention. Even if they would kill me, I am still talking to Palestine,” he said.

“Whether you are a citizen, an immigrant, any person on this land, you are not illegal. This does not make you less than a person.”

He was born in Syria for Palestinian Fathers, Khalil, 30, by immigration agents at his university residence in March and quickly became a picture of President Donald Trump’s harsh residents of the demonstrators who support students and their potential deportation in the name of hostility to the alleged toxicity.

The government claimed that the reasons for the detention and deportation of Khalil, an American legal citizen, was that there was an inaccuracy of his request for permanent residence.

But boycotting judge Michael Varbarars said he was “very unusual” that the government continues to detention from a US legal population, who was unlikely to flee and have not been accused of any violence.

Under the conditions for his release, khalil is not allowed to leave the country except for “self -transmission” and faces restrictions on where he can go in the United States.

The government condemned the decision to release Khalil and made a notification that he was appealing the decision.
