Locals are stepping up to support the front lines battling wildfires in Southern California

More than 15,000 people are helping fight fires across the country Southern California. Crews came from all over the country – and even Mexico – to prevent further devastation. While they remain on the front lines, others are now stepping up to participate.

It’s an all-hands-on-deck effort in Southern California. Most Devastating fires In the state’s history, an area larger than the entire city of San Francisco has burned.

Fox tagged along with two local residents who are dedicated to making this difficult time easier for fire crews Fire fighting.

“We’ve been told some firefighters drink five or six of them a day,” Santa Monica resident Dylan Jones said.

Energy drinks are just one of the items firefighters need as they go head-to-head with fires.

Rosen and his friends grew up around the Palisades area. When the fire broke out, they received a text from their firefighter friend about what they needed on the front lines.

“It’s crazy,” Santa Monica resident Evan Rosen said. “It was just saying, ‘Get this, this, and this,’ and (the awareness) took off.”

So far, Rosen and his friends have raised about $10,000 for firefighters’ needs.

He and his friends continue to make daily trips to local stores and restaurants to buy lotion, sunscreen and painkillers Hot meals For National Guardsmen, fire crews, police, etc.

“We’re just trying to do our part, trying to help them, trying to help these firefighters. I mean a lot of people are devastated. It’s a tough time…but the community is coming together as a city,” the Santa Monica local said. Ray Manesini.

“My cousin Aidan also reshared one of my posts, and they didn’t use Venmo in England, and they were all downloading apps. We had five or 10 people sending money. I had friends from college who moved from home to Portugal saying, ‘Hey, what can I do?’ From far away?” Jones said.

The group says it will continue as long as the community is willing to help. The latest orders from the front lines include IV fluid, unscented lipstick, sunscreen, energy drinks, facial tissues, and hot and healthy meals.
