Premier League leaders Liverpool return to a draw with Nottingham Forest, but Man City squandered their lead against Brentford.
Nottingham Forest showed their unlikely credentials for the Premier League title by Liverpool tied 1-1extending their win over the leaders earlier in the season.
It took Diogo Jota’s header from a corner kick in the 66th minute to give Liverpool a point that preserved their six-point lead over Forest, who moved into second place in their unlikely attempt to qualify for the Champions League – and perhaps more.
Forest remain the only team to beat Liverpool in the league this season – at Anfield in September – and were on course to score an unexpected double over Arne Sloat’s side after top scorer Chris Wood scored in the eighth minute.
Liverpool later turned up the pressure but once again failed to defeat Forest, who likely started the season in a relegation battle rather than in contention for the title.

More problems for Premier League champions Manchester City
Manchester City showed more error late in the game when they squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Brentford.
City conceded in the 82nd minute and again two minutes into stoppage time after Phil Foden scored twice for the struggling champions, who are struggling to qualify for the Champions League this season.
Before winning their last two league games against Leicester and West Ham, City had won just one match out of nine to fall out of the Champions League qualification places. During that poor spell, City conceded two late goals to lose to Manchester United, while throwing away a three-goal lead late in a 3-3 draw against Feyenoord in the Champions League.
Yoani Wesa and Christian Norgaard scored for Brentford to leave City in sixth place.

Chelsea draws with Bournemouth at home
Chelsea salvaged a 2-2 draw at home to Bournemouth thanks to a Reece James free kick in the fifth minute of stoppage time but saw their winless run in the league extended to five matches.
Cole Palmer put Chelsea ahead with a wonderful shot in the 13th minute, scoring his 14th goal of the season, but Bournemouth responded quickly when Antoine Semenyu won a penalty kick – scored by Justin Kluivert – and scored the lead in the 68th minute.
Chelsea remained in fourth place, at least until the match with fifth-placed Newcastle on Wednesday. Graham Potter achieved his first win as West Ham manager when his new side beat Fulham 3-2.
Carlos Soler and Tomas Soucek scored the goals of the first half, before Lucas Paqueta scored the third goal for West Ham, which included Potter last week in place of the fired Julen Lopetegui.
Potter’s first match in charge was the defeat to Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Friday. Alex Iwobi scored Fulham’s goals to make the score 2-1 and then 3-2. With this victory, West Ham moved 10 points away from the relegation zone.
